Metro Centers for Community Advocacy

  • A safe, temporary, emergency shelter is available for a victim of domestic violence if needed. In order to receive shelter, please call Metro Centers for Community Advocacy. Transitional housing is available for victims transitioning from Metro's emergency shelter to independent living, for up to six months upon approval.

New Orleans Mission

  • Shelter- each night, hundreds of men and women find warm bed and safety from the dangerous streets. We can sleep as many as 252 women and men on regular nights and as many as 400 on freeze nights.

New Orleans Women & Children's Shelter

  • Sheltering of up to 50 women and children at one time, including a bedroom for each family, meals, unlimited time to stay and all at no cost to the resident.

Ozanam Inn

  • Sleeps 96 homeless men each night and an additional 32 men on freeze night, furnishing each with toiletries, a warm shower, fresh pajamas, linens and a clean bed.

Salvation Army of New Orleans

  • Clients can utilize overnight emergency shelter for 30 - 90 days (first 7 days free, followed by $10 per night thereafter). Full breakfast and dinner provided. Clients are allowed to bring 2 bags into facility. After initial entry, a bed in the Center of Hope will be reserved for the client until departure (must check in by 6:00 PM for reserved bed). Clients depart Center of Hope by 7:00 AM and can return to facility at 4:00 PM (curfew is 6:00 PM).
